12 Years of Action

Andrew is privileged to have spent the last 12 years standing up for local people in West Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Andrew is proud of his record of success in the areas that matter most to his constituents. He deals with over 13,000 cases each year on behalf of thousands of members of the local community.

Many of these cover the desperate need for affordable housing, the problem of those in receipt of tax credits and benefits, the difficulties faced by pensioners and the challenges for those running small businesses in West Cornwall and the Scillies.

Before Andrew was elected as MP in 1997, he worked hard to promote affordable homes for local people in many villages and towns around Cornwall. Andrew has continued to campaign for the provision of local affordable homes, stressing the importance of local need over developers greed.
